Post-docs

There are a number of postdoctoral fellowship available for both national and international candidates, please visit this list for more information and get in contact if you'd like to apply for these. For funded positions please keep an eye on twitter and the University of Cambridge jobs board.

PhD students

Most PhD students start in October, if you are interested please get in touch as early as possible, preferably in November the year before the start date. There are a number of studentships available for both national and international candidates, please visit the Department's information site here. We typically also offer projects through the BBSRC DTP PhD in Biological Sciences scheme. We may also occasionally advertise specific projects.

Masters students

For research Master's projects (MPhil Zoology) please get in touch and see the Department information here. We also regularly offer projects for the following MPhil courses: Basic and Translational Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, please apply directly through these schemes here.

Summer students

There are lots of opportunities or funded summer studentships, please see some of them here. Make sure to get in contact early if you are interested, preferably before Christmas the year before the desired summer project, to make sure there is enough time to write a project proposal and apply.

University of Cambridge undergraduate students

We regularly host Part II students for Zoology, please get in touch if you have a specific project in mind.
