Pattern: Crochet Christmas Baubles

It’s that time of year again where we start thinking about Christmas decorations! How about this year you make some of your own!
You will need:
4mm crochet hook
Aran yarn in 3 colours
Needle
3 baubles
Scissors
Stitches used:
ch – chainsl – slip stitchsc – single crochetdc – double crochetcluster stitch
Cluster stitch: Yarn over (yo), insert the hook into the next stitch, yo, draw the yarn through the stitch, yo, draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook. Repeat 3 times, Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 5 loops on the hook.
Round 1: Magic circle, ch 2, dc 11, slp to top of ch (figure 1)
Round 2: Attach the next colour to any dc of the previous round (figure 2), ch 2, * cluster stitch, ch1 * repeat to end of round, slp to top of first cluster. You should have 12 clusters.
NOTE: when you reach the ch of the first round make sure to place one cluster either side of the chain, shown by the arrows in figure 3.
Round 3: Attach the next colour to any ch of the previous round (figure 2), ch 2, * cluster stitch around ch space of previous round, ch1, skip cluster stitch * repeat to end of round, slp to top of first cluster. You should have 12 clusters.
Repeat rounds 1-3 in the same colours to make the second half of the bauble (figure 4)
Tie off and weave in ends. Join the two sides together using the needle (figure 5), half way round joining place the bauble inside and finish joining (figure 6). Weave in the ends.
